Many imagine the UAE as nothing more than desert. Exploring it with a camera tells a very different story - of wetlands and coastlines, migratory birds, hidden life, and landscapes shaped by resilience.
My work explores nature through different scales and rhythms, combining landscape photography, wildlife photography, and macro photography into a balanced fine-art practice rooted in the United Arab Emirates.
Landscape photography shaped by dunes, coastal wetlands, and arid ecosystems, emphasizes space, light, and atmosphere, captured within brief windows when conditions align.
Wildlife photography focuses on movement and rare, unrepeatable moments - often along migratory routes and protected wetlands of the UAE - where timing and awareness are essential. Portraits shift the focus from action to proximity. Working at close range, attention moves to presence, expression, and subtle detail, allowing individuality to emerge beyond behavior. Silhouette photography is driven by light rather than action. In the final moments of daylight, familiar birds are reduced to form and gesture, captured within narrow windows where timing and restraint define the image.
Macro photography offers a quieter pace, allowing close observation and continued creative work during periods of extreme heat, when extended time outdoors is limited.
